That is why, in the 1970’s an English man by the name of Eric Wood started dabbling with trenchless technology. Mr. Woods had an underground airduct problem underneath his prized mushroom garden and was unwilling to disturb the fungi’s growth. So, he came up with a way to use felt tubing, resin, and plastic to pull through 230 feet of piping. Once his apparatus was in place, he filled the plastic with air and allowed the resin to dry naturally and ultimately inventing cure in place piping. Pipe bursting is generally considered better than pipe lining when feasible as clearing out the old pipe ensures you don’t lose any flow diameter.
