INTRO TO LIFTS FOR GIFTS
The Boys & Girls Club of Farmington is excited to be the benefactor of the Annual Lifts for Gifts - Power Lifting Event presented by M&R Service designed to provide OUR YOUTH with a little warmth during the winter.
All proceeds will go directly to purchasing sweatshirts and gloves for Club Kids.
Currently, over 400 youth attend a Club site daily, including 6 school sites & Bloomfield. We have another 200+ participating in volleyball and we are gearing up basketball. OUR future leaders have a safe, nurturing environment to receive positive mentoring, to participant in recreational activities, and to engage in educational programs. None of this would be possible without the support of this amazing community.

HOW IT BEGAN
A decade of competitive powerlifting had shaped Cory Eddy, our Restoration Division Head, into more than just a strong individual. It had forged in him a desire to make a positive impact on the community. With this passion in mind, he conceived the idea of using powerlifting events not only as a platform for personal achievement but also as a means to inspire healthier lifestyles within the community while garnering the support of local businesses for a noble cause.
Cory's affinity for helping children led him to the Boys & Girls Club, where he saw an opportunity to make a real difference. His dream was simple yet profound: to provide each Boys & Girls Club Kid with a brand new hoodie. To achieve this, a baseline budget of approximately $7500 was required. But Cory's vision didn't stop at hoodies; he aimed to supply gloves and any other essential items, all while providing monetary support to the Club itself.
And so, 'Lifts For Gifts' was born. Since its inception, Daniel Frank from M&R Service has not only become an official sponsor of The Club but also a dedicated member of the board, further solidifying our commitment to this meaningful cause.

M&R Service, in partnership with Shutterfreek and Empire Althetics, will host this years weight lifting competition benefitting local kids associated with the Boys & Girls Club of Farmington. Anyone can participate and Sponsorship is awesome too!

Last year we were able to raise over $13k and purchase sweaters and gloves for all of the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. The remaining funds will be used for operating expenses. Competition consists of max bench press, squat, and dead lift.
